About Us

Mission

OMFC is a creative high energy company aimed at spreading positive motivation in our ever changing environment through the support of the arts. We view ourselves as one with our customers, community, and environment. Some services of the company include our website which presents interviews and reviews of various artists to our audience, a blog that allows our members to speak their mind about: what motivates them, what change they want to see in the world, and how their art has a positive effect on their peers and community. Our goal is moderate growth through the selling of unique handcrafts which are accessible through our webstore as well as vendor’s tents at musical and social events. The idea for OMFC came about in July 2009 but the company was not started until December 2009. Our services and mission are growing everyday. We are trying to do our part in the community by keeping an open mind and being proactive to the challenges we face today that range from global climate change to finding alternate sources of energy. The company is formed on the ideals of peace, love, unity, respect, and responsibility.

About Us

During the 1990s, our generation was looking up to role models and athletes such as Michael Jordan, Troy Aikeman, and musical artist like Michael Jackson and Madonna. It was all about having someone to look up to because in our eyes they seemed to be extraordinary people who had it all. Today our world is in a fragile state, where our role models are rare and we are facing a growing number of challenges that range from the environment to the economy. As these problems persist, in truth, we have all grown to become our own role models. Our Motivation for Change is about looking deep into ourselves to see the many talents we each possess and how we can use those talents to make a positive impact on others. We cannot make a difference by speaking of what we want, we must take action and figure out how we are going to do it. I challenge each one of you to find out what talents you possess (dancing, painting, music, writing, planning, organization, etc.) in order to brainstorm how you can use those talents to better yourself and others. If you need help, that’s what we’re here for. We can help you brainstorm, and who knows we might even bring you aboard and incorporate you into our vision. Our company isn’t about competition, we want to work with as many people as we can to help them discover how they can help and make a difference.

Meet Our Crew!

Tara C. Cagle

Tara Choudhary Cagle was raised in the American South but fortunate enough to travel throughout the world to unique places like Tibet, China, India, and Europe.  While living in India for three years she was submerged in the rich culture and heritage of her ancestors.  Married to an Army man in 2009, she has been able to continue to travel and experience new places while gaining a whole new respect for our armed forces and their families.  Currently living in Florida, with the next “home for now” in Colorado, she continues to look forward to meeting new people and sharing her motivation for change: to educate others about different cultures and bring people together to share in her love of music, animals and the outdoors.  With a BBA Marketing, she looks forward to using her degree to find creative ways to promote great music and unique products.  Eventually she plans to further explore her creative side and create her own jewelry and other handicrafts.  She looks forward to many more adventures through experiencing new music, meeting new people, and learning about different subcultures right here in our own backyard.

Seema Choudhary

seema@omfchange.com (email)

Seema Choudhary is a 2008 graduate of Miami University (Ohio) with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science. A native to South Carolina, she returned there after her collegiate studies to pursue a career with Toshiba. After evaluating her motives, and fearing that the answer to “what have you really accomplished in your lifetime so far,” was left empty and unanswered, she came to the self realization that all hope was not lost.

After careful meditation she realized in her life: she was blessed with the opportunity to travel to beautiful countries such as Tibet, Kashmir, Hong Kong, Macau, India, and China, she cherished the arts and had completed 12 years of classically trained piano, and during her senior year of college she had developed a passion for social entrepreneurship. All these pieces came together to make apparent that her drive in life was clear and it was clear that in order to get the most amount of life, she must do the same for others. What is your motivation for change? What drives you to do what you do? What is one change you want to see in your lifetime? This became the mission of OMFC.

Seema currently resides in West Lafayette, Indiana working each day to expand the missions and functions of OMFC, but also leaving ample time to check out some wicked shows, meet some new faces, and on nice days taking the time to get better at slacklining.

Joshua Daves MartinJoshua Daves Martin – Southeastern US Correspondent

Josh@OMFChange.com (email)

Josh Martin is a 25-year-old graduate of Clemson University. In December of 2009, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematical sciences. He loves music, the arts, being outdoors, working with computers and electronics and learning about renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable technologies. Currently, Josh is working for himself performing computer repair and technology consulting services in Greenville, SC while he looks for an energy engineering position on the west coast. In his free time, Josh enjoys listening to music, playing disc golf, experiencing live music and learning about new technologies that make the world a better place. Josh loves to get outside and enjoy the outdoors, and he does so as much as possible. Whenever he has the opportunity, he goes hiking, camping, climbing, kayaking and biking with friends. When his schedule and wallet allows him, Josh also enjoys attending music and arts festivals.

As an engineer, Josh is pursuing a career involving renewable energy, energy efficiency, and other types of sustainable technologies. He considers this type of work to be the way of the future and believes it is important for young professionals to do everything they can to advance the products and technologies that reduce our impact on the environment, while solving the worlds growing energy crisis. In his lifetime, he would like to see renewable energy technologies such as wind, solar, and biomass become economically viable so that our dependence on fossil fuels for energy production is minimized. To do this requires, not only huge advances in these technologies, but also a shift in the way people perceive energy and the environment to a more eco-conscious state of mind. Josh will be one of the engineers making huge advances in these energy technologies.

Scott “Scott-man” Stilson-OMFC Intern

scottman@omfchange.com (email)

Scott ”Scott-man” Stilson is a senior at Purdue University studying Mechanical Engineering Technology. Originating from New Jersey, Scott came out to West Lafayette, Indiana to pursue his engineering degree. Scott hopes to one day use his education to spread the message of the importance of art and culture in combination with science and technology, and the importance of high school lever industrial arts programs.

Motivated with a strong traditional art and 3D art background, Scott discovered his love for engineering and technology during high school. In his opinion, engineering is nothing more than “art applied with industry”. something that reflected his senior year, when he became leader of his high schools FIRST robotics competition team, Team 293, successfully winning a regional competition and placing 6th nationally. This achievement was something that always motivated Scott to show people how important it is to combine the study of art and culture with the study of science and technology.

On his free time you can find Scott flying down a mountain on his snowboard, hanging out on the east coast shoreline, and most often, spending time at music and arts festivals, making new friends, and sharing the love.
